Every diocese and parish share in the responsibility of obtaining the resources required to fulfill the Church’s mission:  to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, celebrate community and serve our brothers and sisters throughout the 28 southernmost counties of Illinois that comprise the diocese.  The Development Office supports the diocese in this mission by actively seeking the financial resources and funding opportunities which will help provide the resources needed for the Church’s pastoral programs, departments, ministries, organizations, parishes and  schools.  The Office is responsible for all aspects of The Catholic Service and Ministry Appeal, foundation and corporate grants, national and diocesan special collections, donor relations, communications and special events.  We also offer assistance and support to the development efforts of diocesan parishes, schools and other Catholic institutions and organizations within the diocese.
