Welcome to Young Adult Ministry of the Diocese of Belleville. We encourage you to get involved and experience the many activities taking place across the Diocese. Take some time to gather for fellowship, grow closer to God through prayer, and deepen your faith. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) define “young adults” as:
Persons in their late teens, twenties, and thirties who represent diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, educational, vocational, social, political, and spiritual backgrounds. They are college students, workers, and professionals, they are persons in military service, they are single, married, divorced, or widowed, they are with or without children, they are newcomers in search of a better life.
Young Adult Ministry promotes friendships that can strengthen your faith and encourages active participation in the church community.
"Friendship is one of life’s gifts and a grace from God. Through our friends, the Lord refines us and leads us to maturity. Faithful friends, who stand at our side in times of difficulty, are also a reflection of the Lord’s love, his gentle and consoling presence in our lives. The experience of friendship teaches us to be open, understanding and caring towards others, to come out of our own comfortable isolation and to share our lives with others. " -Pope Francis
