Budget and Expense Reports/Parish Catechetical Programsn

Because of the critical nature of catechesis on the quality of parish life, every parish shall consider its catechetical duties as some of the most important activities in the faith community. This importance demands adequate funding for programs, and the parish leaders should articulate the need for such funding to the parish council and parish community.

Catechetical budget information shall be provided to the Office of Education as requested on the Yearly Parish School of Religion/Catechetical reports.

The catechetical budget shall contain some or all of the following line items:

1. Revenues 
   1.  Tuition
   2.  Fees
      
      1. General (Retreat fees for various sacramental preparation, especially Confirmation)
      2. Special (Service opportunities, social trips for community building, etc.)
   3.  Miscellaneous
      1. Bible Sale Income - Text
      2. PSR Teacher Salary Donations
      3. Parenting Books and Magazines
2. Expenses
   1. Salaries
      
      1. Catechetical Leader
      2. Part-time Secretary
   2. Payroll Taxes
   3. Lay Retirement
   4. Health Insurance
   5. Disability Insurance
   6. Contract Services
      
      1. PSR, teacher stipends
      2. Copy machine
      3. Teen PSR Aide stipends
   7. Capital Outlay
      
      1. Equipment Purchased
      2. Equipment Repair
      3. Equipment Rental
   8. Supplies - Office
      
      1. Postage
      2. Paper - Stationery, envelopes, thank you notes, etc.
      3. Copies
      4. Miscellaneous
   9. Rent Equipment/Telephone
   10. Supplies - Classroom
       1. Report cards
