The Office of Worship serves the Bishop and the People of God in the Diocese of Belleville in various ways.

• Provides seminars for competency in presiding at prayer and workshops on timely topics.  
• Coordinates and implements the various liturgical celebrations with Bishop McGovern – Rite of Election, Chrism Mass, Ordination of Priests and Deacons, Rite of Admission to Candidacy, Institution of Lectors and Acolytes, Mass of Thanksgiving for Married Couples, Spring Farm Blessing and Blessing of the Harvest and more.
• Creates and maintains guidelines for the various liturgical ministers, i.e., reader, cantor and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
• Assists the Bishop with various aspects of the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
• Serves as a resource and consultant to parishes and the diocese on matters of liturgy, sacred music, art and architecture, marriage preparation and the baptismal catechumenate.
