Responsibilities, Duties, Code of Ethics – Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment of any nature is absolutely prohibited in schools and parishes in the Diocese of Belleville. Violation of this policy shall subject an employee or student to disciplinary action, up to and including, discharge or expulsion.
Sexual harassment means any unwelcome sexual advances for sexual favors or any conduct of a sexual nature. It is strictly forbidden for any employee or student to express sexual slurs, jokes, cartoons, make sexual advances, request sexual favors, or engage in verbal conduct of a sexual nature within or relating to any school or parish setting or activity. Such conduct is contrary to the Catholic belief in the dignity of every human person.
