Director of Religious Education-Formal Evaluation
A formal written evaluation of the Director of Religious Education shall be prepared by the pastor and the local board of education or appropriate parish committee or council. Evaluation of the Director of Religious Education by members of the parish is left to the discretion of the Director of Religious Education.
Evaluation forms will be provided by the Diocesan Office of Education. Completed forms from the pastor, the local board of education or appropriate parish committee or council, and members of the parish should be submitted to the local board president or his/her equivalent by the end of January. After the local board of education or appropriate parish committee or council has studied all the evaluation forms, they will be given to the Director of Religious Education.
A summary of the evaluation is to be written by a designated member of the local board of education or appropriate parish committee or council and sent to the Diocesan Office of Education to be placed in the Director of Religious Education's personnel file by February 15. When applicable, a summary of the evaluation shall be sent to the Director of Religious Education's religious community
