Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law.
- Catechism of the Catholic Church, #2271
The Catholic Church has always held that direct abortion is a grave violation of God's Law. Science has proven that human life begins at the moment of conception. From the moment of conception a new human being comes into existence, genetically distinct from father or mother. Our faith teaches us that this new human life must be protected and nourished as the image of God. As Christians we have a moral obligation to oppose this grave evil. We also have a serious duty to reach out in love and support of those who are considering abortion and those who have already experienced the trauma of abortion.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church addresses abortion here.

Bolton and related cases, and to explain why Roe and Doe are fundamentally erroneous decisions that must be corrected through appropriate Court or legislative action.
