Schools that have been found to contain asbestos materials in the school are to follow the guidelines and procedures set up by the Environmental Protection Agency and all federal rules and regulations regarding asbestos materials.
All asbestos information must be kept on file in the school office along with the Asbestos Management Plan. Periodic inspections of the building must take place and the Asbestos Management Plan must be signed after each inspection by the appropriate authorities.
Anyone working on the building, such as painters, plumbers, or others, is to be informed of the asbestos and sign the Asbestos Management Plan.
